J.D. Power 2026 Two Major Lists Released,Xiaomi Auto Wins “Two Vehicles, Two Lists, Two Championships” in Segment Markets

The world-leading market research firm J.D. Power has released its two major 2026 rankings: Xiaomi Auto has claimed the title of “Two Vehicles, Two Lists, Two Championships” in its respective segments!

Across the two major rankings — the New Energy Vehicle Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout Study (NEV-APEAL) and the New Energy Vehicle Initial Quality Study (NEV-IQS):

• Xiaomi SU7 (First Generation):
  Has secured both No.1 titles in the large pure electric sedan category for two consecutive years.
• Xiaomi YU7:
  Won both No.1 titles in the large pure electric SUV category in its first year of launch.

Both rankings are based on surveys of actual vehicle owners:

The NEV-APEAL comprehensively evaluates owners’ perceptions and satisfaction regarding a vehicle’s appeal across design, performance, technology and other dimensions, serving as a core indicator of a product’s overall attractiveness.

The NEV-IQS measures quality problems reported within the first 2–6 months of vehicle ownership, objectively verifying overall vehicle quality through two dimensions: malfunction-related issues and design and usability defects.
