What is the “Transparent Mode” of the new-generation SU7 and how to use it?

“Transparent Mode” uses the exterior microphone array and the in-car audio system to transmit real-time ambient sounds from outside the vehicle into the cabin.
Without opening the windows, it allows you to fully perceive surrounding sounds and easily communicate naturally with people outside the car.

You can find and activate Transparent Mode in the central control screen under Settings – Sound, or enable it via XiaoAI.
Once turned on, Transparent Mode will be displayed in the Xiaomi Super Island at the top of the central control screen.
By tapping the left button to activate the exterior intercom function, you can then conduct voice conversations with people outside the vehicle.

You can use Transparent Mode in the following scenarios:
When driving at low speeds, it helps the driver detect sounds from surrounding pedestrians and vehicles.
In the “Driving Preferences” settings, we provide an option to “Automatically enable Transparent Mode in Reverse gear”, which you can turn on according to your needs.

In situations where opening windows is inconvenient, such as bad weather or night travel, Transparent Mode makes communication safer and more convenient.
When encountering pedestrians, you can also politely inform them to proceed first.

When camping or resting, enabling Transparent Mode brings natural ambient sounds into the car, allowing you to immerse yourself in nature while keeping out insects, wind and rain, and maintaining a comfortable interior temperature.
