What exactly is the “Xiaomi Jiaolong Chassis” and what are its features?
Making its debut on the new-generation SU7, the “Xiaomi Jiaolong Chassis” is a high-performance intelligent chassis system with deep integration of software and hardware, designed to deliver a more precise, stable, and safer driving experience.
In terms of chassis hardware, the entire new-generation SU7 lineup comes standard with front double-wishbone independent suspension, rear five-link independent suspension, 265mm wide rear tires, and front four-piston fixed brake calipers, providing exceptional driving quality and confident braking performance.
The Pro and Max variants are additionally equipped with closed dual-chamber air springs and CDC® variable damping absorbers, enabling the suspension to adjust in height and firmness. This allows one chassis system to offer two distinct characteristics, balancing both personal driving enjoyment and riding comfort for family members.
Furthermore, the chassis has undergone more in-depth and refined professional tuning compared to the first-generation SU7. The brake pedal tuning draws on the pedal feel style of the SU7 Ultra, with optimized brake actuation points to give drivers greater confidence in every braking action.
The steering system has also seen noticeable upgrades, offering improved precision and better responsiveness. Meanwhile, the overall refined suspension tuning delivers enhanced vibration filtering and body support.
The system also features intelligent functions through deep software-hardware integration, including the Anti-Slip Cooperative Control System, which significantly reduces wheel slip on low-friction road surfaces. A brand-new Slippery Mode is also introduced to greatly improve driving safety on icy, wet, and other slippery conditions.
Through AI multi-modal road environment monitoring, the vehicle can detect slippery road conditions and proactively prompt the driver to switch to Slippery Mode for enhanced convenience and safety.
