Xiaomi SU7 Max 40 Consecutive 100km/h Braking Tests: Benefits & Brake Performance Explained

What are the benefits for daily driving of the new-generation SU7 Max performing 40 consecutive 100km/h full-braking tests?

The test vehicle is a production version of the new‑generation SU7 Max (detailed specifications shown in the attached images). It repeatedly accelerated from a standstill to 100 km/h and then immediately performed full emergency braking, completing 40 consecutive cycles (conducted via U‑turns on a closed road), with Enhanced Energy Recovery disabled throughout.

This extremely demanding condition, far beyond typical daily use, fully demonstrates the stronger braking safety performance of the new‑generation SU7 Max. It maintains stable and consistent deceleration even after sustained intense braking, providing greater safety margin for driving.

The new‑generation SU7 Max is equipped with Brembo® front four‑piston fixed calipers, low‑metallic brake pads, and front drilled ventilated brake discs. Among these upgrades, the front low‑metallic brake pad area has been increased by 37.8%, significantly raising thermal capacity and effectively improving resistance to brake fade. The large‑size brake discs and Brembo® front four‑piston calipers also feature higher thermal capacity. Combined with dedicated cooling air ducts for the braking system, they further delay the onset of brake fade.

When driving under intense conditions such as on a race track, we recommend entering Master Mode and manually enabling Enhanced Energy Recovery. This allows the vehicle to fully utilize regenerative braking, further delaying brake fade.

In addition, for users with track or high‑performance driving needs, we suggest upgrading to a high‑performance brake kit (including high‑performance brake pads and high‑boiling‑point brake fluid) in advance. This upgrade delivers even stronger resistance to brake fade, improved braking force, and enhanced pedal feel, making it more suitable for advanced driving.

Please note that high‑performance brake kits may generate increased noise and brake dust during daily driving, so we advise against using them for regular commuting.

This test was carried out in a professional closed area. Imitation on public roads is strongly discouraged. Before attempting intense driving, please fully understand the performance limits of the vehicle, master professional driving skills, and ensure the safety of both the driver and the car. Do not recklessly challenge extreme driving conditions with the vehicle in its factory‑default state.
