Many people feel that the all-new Xiaomi SU7 has a “softer chassis” than the first-generation SU7. Has the tuning style been changed?

Through a comprehensive upgrade of the chassis, the all-new Xiaomi SU7 achieves superior driving handling and riding comfort compared to the first-generation SU7.
In its optimum handling mode, the chassis is firmer with enhanced support. In its optimum comfort mode, the chassis is softer, delivering a more pronounced premium feel.

The key upgrades are as follows:

First, upgrades to steering, braking and tires.
The all-new SU7 features significant improvements in steering system tuning, making it more precise and responsive.
For the brake pedal, we referenced the pedal feel tuning of the SU7 Ultra and optimized the brake actuation point, giving drivers greater confidence in every brake application.
The entire lineup comes standard with 265mm rear wide tires, which increase contact area with the ground by 8%, providing stronger grip.

Second, upgrades to the suspension system.
The all-new SU7 Pro/Max trims are equipped with newly upgraded closed dual-chamber air springs and CDC® variable dampers, greatly enhancing handling performance and ride quality.
The dual-chamber air springs achieve a maximum stiffness difference of 42% between Comfort mode and Sport+ mode, creating a more distinct contrast between soft and firm settings. Comfort mode offers a smoother ride for daily commuting, while Sport mode provides significantly stronger body support.

Finally, let’s talk about driving modes.
The standard and Pro versions of the all-new SU7 have 3 main driving modes: ECO, Comfort and Sport.
The Max version has 4 main driving modes: ECO, Comfort, Sport and Sport+.
In addition, all versions include 2 customizable driving modes, allowing drivers to adjust vehicle characteristics according to personal preference.
