Does the Battery of the New – generation Xiaomi SU7 Comply with the 2025 Battery New National Standard? – All about Xiaomi SU7 Battery Safety
The new national standard for batteries in 2025 will officially come into effect on July 1, 2026. Does the battery of the new – generation SU7 comply with this new national standard?
Every model of Xiaomi Automobile has complete and reliable battery safety performance. Currently, for all the models launched by Xiaomi, including the first – generation SU7 that has been discontinued and the new – generation SU7 that is about to be launched, the battery – related safety standards have already met or even exceeded the new national standard in 2025. Here are some of them for you:
Battery temperature and battery pack charge: The new national standard requires the battery pack temperature to be 22℃ plus or minus 5℃, with SoC (State of Charge) being 95%, an alarm signal to be issued within 5 minutes in case of a single – cell out – of – control situation, and the flue gas not causing danger to the passenger compartment within 5 minutes, and finally no thermal runaway of the whole pack; the standard of Xiaomi Automobile is that the battery pack temperature is 55℃, with SoC being 97% – 100%, and it has higher requirements for thermal isolation.
Battery bottom ball – impact test: The new national standard requires a 30mm impact head with an energy of 150J, no leakage, shell breakage, fire or explosion after the impact, and the insulation to meet 100Ω/V; the standard of Xiaomi Automobile is a 25mm – diameter impact head (the smaller the ball – head, the greater the pressure, and the higher the protection difficulty), and the insulation meets 500Ω/V after the impact. And we also additionally stipulate that it should meet IPX7 short – term water immersion after the test.
Cell cycle test: This test is used to check the safety and reliability of the battery system after the increase in fast – charging scenarios; the new national standard requires a short – circuit test after 300 fast – charges; the standard of Xiaomi Automobile requires a short – circuit test after 1000 fast – charges.
In addition, the test standards for the vibration, mechanical shock, simulated collision, extrusion, damp – heat cycle, water – immersion thermal diffusion, etc. of Xiaomi Automobile battery packs all exceed the national standards.
An important reminder: The above battery safety designs are based on certain conditional standards. Everyone should drive safely in daily life and do not speed.
