What safety configurations have been upgraded in the new – generation SU7?
The new – generation SU7 has been comprehensively upgraded in multiple aspects such as passive safety, battery safety, and safety assistance:
Passive safety: The “embedded roll – cage” made of 2200MPa Xiaomi ultra – strong steel, which is standard – equipped, runs through from the A – pillar to the C – pillar, and can better deal with rollover and underride scenarios; the “four – door anti – collision beams” made of 2200MPa Xiaomi ultra – strong steel, which are standard – equipped, can better deal with side – impact accidents; all models are upgraded to 9 airbags, and two rear side airbags are added to enhance the protection ability for rear passengers.
Safety redundancy: Triple – redundant door handles are standard – equipped for all models, with an internal mechanical cable structure and a backup power supply. The four doors can be mechanically opened both inside and outside the vehicle.
Battery safety: The “1500MPa anti – scraping bottom crossbeam” is standard – equipped, as well as the same “bulletproof coating” as that of SU7 Ultra. Compared with the PVC coating, the “bulletproof coating” has a 10 – fold improvement in scratch and tear resistance and a 13 – fold improvement in puncture resistance. When the bottom of the vehicle encounters scraping, it can greatly reduce the damage to the battery pack. The technology honed on the track can better safeguard daily vehicle use.
Safety assistance: LiDAR and 4D millimeter – wave radar are standard – equipped for all models, which can better identify potential risks and improve safety assistance performance. We would like to remind everyone again: safety assistance cannot replace the driver. Be sure to pay attention to observing the environment, focus on driving, and do not speed.
Driving safety: Four – piston fixed brake calipers are standard – equipped at the front for all models, providing better braking force; 265mm wide rear tires are standard – equipped for all models, providing better grip of the main driving wheels and driving stability.
